Terms & Conditions
Your acceptance of these terms and conditions is required to process your booking for Te Ara Tāwhaiwahi and Haumi ē courses.
Acceptance and confirmation of your booking will be made when a non-refundable 25% deposit is received and a subsequent email confirmation is sent by Riki Consultancy Ltd.
Non refundable deposit:
You are required to pay a non-refundable 25% deposit for your booking to be confirmed for Te Ara Tāwhaiwhai and Haumi ē. If your booking is made within 30 days of the programme start date then the full amount is payable at the time of booking.
Acceptance of booking and final payments:
If we accept your booking, we will issue you with a booking confirmation invoice. A contract will exist between you and us from the date we issue the confirmation invoice or if you book within 30 days of the programme start date the contract will exist when we accept your full payment.
Please refer to your booking confirmation invoice for details regarding the final payment. Payment of the balance of the programme price is due 30 days before the departure date.
If this balance is not paid on or before the due date we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled and may offer the spot to another participant on our waitlist.
Cancellation by you:
If you cancel your booking for Te Ara Tāwhaiwhai or Haumi ē the cancellation terms set out below will apply. A cancellation will only be effective when we receive written confirmation from you that you wish to cancel.
a) 31 days or more, prior to the programme start date, we will hold your 25% non-refundable deposit amount as a cancellation fee.
d) 30 or fewer days prior to the programme start date, we charge a cancellation fee of 100% of the programme cost.
Cancellation by us:
Te Ara Tāwhaiwhai and Haumi ē programmes are guaranteed to go ahead once we have 90% of the available spaces fully paid. In the event that we cancel your programme for unforeseen circumstances, you can transfer amounts paid to an alternate programme date or location.
In the event of any cancellation, there will be no claim for damages by either party against the other and we are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking.
Promotional material:
By confirming your place and consenting to our terms & conditions, you are agreeing to receive programme updates and promotional emails from us. You can unsubscribe at any time.
By participating in Te Ara Tāwhaiwhai or Haumi ē you consent to the use of any images or videos taken during the event for promotional purposes by Riki Consultancy. This may include, but is not limited to, promotional materials such as brochures, social media posts, website content, and advertisements. If you do not wish to be included in such materials, please inform a member of our staff at the event. Your participation constitutes your agreement to this condition.
Standard of behaviour and care for the marae and other venues:
All of the marae and any alternative venues are smoke-free, alcohol-free and drug-free. Smoking is only allowed in a designated area determined by Riki Consultancy facilitators.
Food is only permitted to be consumed in the wharekai while at the marae.
All marae have their own kawa (protocols) and tikanga (rules). The team at Riki Consultancy will brief you in advance on the respective rules and protocols if relevant.
Disclaimer
Riki Consultancy reserves the right to change timing, activities, kaupapa and presenters where necessary.
Riki Consultancy shall not be liable for any loss caused by the cancellation of the conference where such cancellation is due to Force Majeure. The term "Force Majeure" means any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the organisers including but not limited to war, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), terrorism, aircraft hijacking, military operation, riot, civil war, rebellion, civil commotion or unrest, natural disasters, Acts or Regulations of government, refusal to grant visas, explosions, transport delays, transport difficulties and the insolvency of airline carriers.
The organisers will use all reasonable efforts to conduct the conference despite the intervention or occurrence of any such cause.
